Basic functionalities and deliverables of the WMS
This document describes the minimum operational functionalities to be delivered by the WMS.
Inbound
- Registration of ASN or "PreReceipt", manually or via interfaces as agreed with customers
- Actual receipt, manual data entry or with RF support (receipt with or without SSCC labels (license plates), and putaway (free choice of locations, or system driven))
- Deviation report
- Confirmation back to customer via standard XLS or agreed format
Outbound
- Manual order entry or automatic order entry via interfaces as agreed with customers
- Allocation of free stock, FIFO or lotnumber or serial number based, special exceptions for full pallets
- Pick locations, replenishment instructions
- Paper-based picking or with RF support
- Packing at packingstation, type of screen and method of packing depends on customer
- No scanning or scanning of item (and serial no if needed), scanners can be connected to packing station, wireless or full RF
- Printing of transport labels for each collo
- Printing of packing list for each collo (if required)
- Printing of packing list for whole shipment
- RF supported loading of collo into trucks
- Deviation report
- Confirmation back to customer via standard XLS or agreed format
Stock
- Allocation of different statuses (for ex. damaged, QI, etc.), changes of statuses remain historically visible
- Stock corrections
- T1 / T2 status
- Stock can be blocked, on item, location level... blocked items remain in stock, but become unallocatable
- All stock movements historically visible, all inbound references and outbound references stay in database
Reports
- Standard reports (transportlabels, itemlabels, Licence plate labels, stock overviews with/without location, history per SKU, inbound unloading ASN list, confirmation Inbound report, picking list, packing lists grouped per customer, per order and per package, loading/shipping lists, confirmation outbound report, CMR, etc...)
Customs
- PLDA ready, triggers to feed CMS are built-in, interfaces for CMS "iCustoms" (Kewill) are available
- Interfaces to ABX's CMS still need to be defined
Others
- Possibility of automatic email sending (example: weekly stock lists, packing lists to end customer when confirming packing, etc.)
